From the day I started woodturning I have always enjoyed turning to exact dimensions. I guess it's the outcome of a 5-year apprenticeship as an electro-mechanical engineer. The draughtsman and working to tight tolerances comes to the fore. This would explain the enjoyment I get from designing and turning salt & pepper mills in woods not found in mass production mills available in department stores and kitchen shops.
